FAQs

How old do i have to be to get a piercing? what is your minors policy?

  • If over 18: You’re a legal adult! All you need to bring with you to get pierced is a valid photo ID!

  • If under 18: In the state of Missouri, the law allows me to pierce at any age assuming there is a legal parent or guardian present and we don’t come in contact with any private body parts during the procedure.

    • IF minor and guardian have the SAME last name you need:

      • (1) Valid State ID or passport for guardian, and

      • (2) Valid ID, passport or photo of minor with name on it (Ex: school yearbook photo, screenshot of school portal page, recreation center ID, etc

    • IF minor and guardian do NOT have the same last name:

      • (1) Valid State ID or passport for guardian,

      • (2) Valid ID, passport or photo of minor with name on it (Ex: school yearbook photo, screenshot of school portal page, recreation center ID, etc.), and

      • (3) a birth certificate, divorce papers, insurance cards, or adoption papers. You only need one of these, the purpose of one of these is to provide a legal document proving you are the guardian of the minor.

Do you do consultations? What are consultations?

  • Yes, I offer consultations! A consultations is a one-on-one metting where we discuss your piercing ideas, answer any questions, and make sure you feel fully infomred and condient before moving forward. It’s a great opportunity to talk about your options, the process, healing expectations, and anything else you’d like to know. Whether you’re new to piercings or planning something more advanced, our consultations are designed to ensure you have the best experience possible. Feel free to schedule one anytime!

What can I not do after getting pierced?

  • After getting pierced, there are a few things you should avoid to ensure proper healing and prevent complications. Some of these are (1) submerging the piercing in water, (2) using harsh products, or (3) touching or twisting the jewelry. I will give you aftercare information and instructions following your piercing, so make sure to follow that and you’ll have a healed piercing before you know it!

How much should I tip my artist/piercer?

  • The best way to approach this is that nothing is expected, but anything is appreciated. It’s not like the restaurant industry where there’s a standard percentage. Tip what you’re comfortable with and on your experience. Also if you don’t like to give something but don’t necessarily have the funds a thoughtful gift will always be accepted!
