Every client receives detailed aftercare instructions during their appointment, but we’ve provided this guide to help you care for your new piercing at home.
General Aftercare Guidelines for All Piercings
- Wash your hands thoroughly before touching your piercing.
- Clean the piercing 1-2 times daily using a sterile saline solution or aftercare spray (we provide recommendations at your appointment).
- Avoid harsh soaps, alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, or ointments — they can irritate or slow healing.
- Do not rotate or move the jewelry unnecessarily.
- Avoid swimming pools, hot tubs, lakes, and oceans until fully healed.
- Sleep on clean sheets and avoid sleeping on the pierced area when possible.
- Keep hair, makeup, and other products away from the piercing.
- Wear loose, clean clothing over body piercings to prevent irritation.
- Avoid unnecessary pressure, friction, or trauma to the piercing.
